John Slavic is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Slavic group of companies, which is comprised of Slavic Integrated Administration (SIA), Slavic Investment Corporation (SIC), Slavic Mutual Funds Management Corporation (SMF), and PLANRight. John oversees all functions of the Slavic group of companies and has more than 35 years of professional experience in the securities and retirement plan industries.
Under John’s leadership and vision, the Slavic family of companies has grown from a one-person financial advisory firm to a national 401(k) for small business provider, with more than $12B in assets under administration, serving over 12,000 businesses and 250,000 participants nationwide.
John has a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.
In his role as Chief Strategy Officer, Jim is responsible for new business development, client relations, investment management, and other strategic initiatives. As investment advisor, he handles fund changes for clients where Slavic Mutual Funds Management Corporation (SMF) serves as a 3(21) and 3(38) fiduciary investment advisor. He also plays a role on the Investment Committee that manages the SMF Aggressive, Moderate, and Conservative portfolios, and manages the algorithms utilized in the Bespoke automated portfolio advisor tool. Jim has been with Slavic401k since 1996, serving in various capacities in sales, investment management, strategy, and operations.
A graduate of the State University of New York, Institute of Technology at Utica, Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative.
Michelet is the Chief Technology Officer for Slavic401k. Michelet and his team of programmers and developers work to ensure the integrity, scalability, availability, and security of Slavic’s data. This includes the many databases required to support 401(k) plans, as well as Slavic’s web interface – which supports 401(k) plan participants, employers, and plan sponsors with all the tools they need to manage their plans.
Michelet joined Slavic401k in 2000 and has championed over the years Slavic’s proprietary technologies such as Bespoke, PlanHub, and client-facing portals.
Michelet holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University, which he earned early in his career at Slavic.
